“ Give thanks to the Lord with harps, sing to him with stringed instruments ” (Psalms 33: 2)

Music is an integral part of the liturgy. It  is one of the most visible and cherished aspects of life at St Peter’s Church.  Music is an offering that serves to glorify God and, by its very nature, draws people into contemplation of God’s grace. Music has been, and continues to be, a gateway to a life of faithful service through which the boys and girls of the choirs enter. Through the music they make and sing, they encounter God and learn of Him. They seek to know Him. They grow as individuals and as a community in the knowledge of Him.

No Quarbano is complete without the participation of a beautiful and melodious choir. At St.Peters we are blessed with a choir that stands out as the best in this regard under the leadership of Mr. Philip Ancheril(Gee).  Mr. Ancheril has been the choir master since the inception of our church and he has been leading the choir exceptionally well.  He has been the main coordinator for various choir practices and performances that have taken place at and beyond our church over the years.

We, as a choir under the leadership of Gee, have participated and performed not only in various church events but also at the Kerala Christian Ecumenical gathering as well as at the diocesan silver jubilee family conference in New Jersey. By the grace of God, our Choir is growing day by day.  Our Choir is always grateful for the support and thanks we receive from the congregation and it is encouraging to know that what we do is well received.
